At Cornerstone we have a legal obligation and are required by law to follow:

‘’The duty of candour provisions of the Health (Tobacco, Nicotine etc. and Care) (Scotland) Act 2016 (The Act)3 and The Duty of Candour Procedure (Scotland) Regulations 2018 (The 2018 Regulations) 4 (The 2018 Regulations)’’ when there has been an unintended or unexpected incident in providing services that results in, or could result in, death or harm (or additional treatment is required to prevent injury that would result in death or harm).’’

When these types of incidents happen, the people affected understand what has occurred, receive an apology and Cornerstone learns how we can improve.

As part of our obligations, we must provide an annual report. This report describes how Cornerstone has operated the organisational duty of candour during the time between 01 April 2024 and 31 March 2025.

We hope you find the report below informative.
