Philippa popped into the office for her weekly cuppa and catch up and expressed that she would like to attend a First Aid course. She felt it would be good to open up the opportunity for other people we support in Moray to get involved in too.

Seven people signed up and took part in the First Aid course which was facilitated by Outfit Moray. The day was a huge success and was easily measured by the laughter, smiles (and certificates), with Support Practitioners being bandaged up as though they were the casualties.

Following the session, the people we support joined the management and admin teams in the front office to talk about their day. During this time they demonstrated what they had learned, showing their certificates and recounting their stories of everyone all wrapped up in bandages. Everyone was very confident that they knew what to do if someone was in need of first aid assistance.

Philippa told us: “That was a fantastic day, I really enjoyed it.”

Rebecca said: “Mum will be proud of me, I passed first time.”
